"YIT Lietuva" is starting to build one of the most modern projects in the Baltic States in Riga
Very soon, one of the most modern central business districts - in the Baltic countries will be built in the center of Riga, the capital of Latvia, modern Business Center and a large multi-functional building with a diverse infrastructure. First stage of the central business district, named "Presses Nama Kvartāls" (lit. "Spaustuvės kvartalas"), will be build by the sustainable urban and infrastructure development company "YIT Lietuva", with which the project developer "Lords LB Special Fund V" signed a general contract. The total investment of the 1st stage of development of the project is estimated to reach more than 100 million euros.
YIT Lietuva will start the construction works of the 1st stage of the project in March of this year. The project is being developed on the left bank of the Dauguva River flowing through Riga, just fifteen minutes' walk from the old town of the Latvian capital.
The developer of the project presented a vision to establish a modern central business district with the wide diverse infrastructure. In the first stage, the 11-story Class-A business centre with an area of 26,000 m2 will be built, and there will be approximately 2,600 office spaces for employees. The business centre will meet the BREEAM certificate Excellent Standard and qualifies as a Near Zero Energy building.
Therefore, the business center is already called one of the most modern in the Baltic States.
The same quality standards are applied to the Multifunctional center with recreational, sports and cultural infrastructure that will be built next to the Business center. In this multifunctional center, the area of which is over 40 thousand sq. m., there will be shopping places, catering and medical facilities, and a sports club.
An open green terrace, a cafe, and a children's playground will be installed on the roof of the building. An exclusive football field on the roof terrace is also planned here. It will be the only one of its kind in the Baltic States.

In 2020, we built 65.000 sq. m. area "Rimi Baltics" logistics terminal in Riga, therefore this time we will apply advanced construction methods, adhere to sustainability requirements and try to justify the customer's demonstrated trust in our company", says Kęstutis Vanagas, head of YIT Lietuva.
Construction works are planned to be completed by the second part of 2024.
In Lithuania, "YIT Lietuva" is building a large "Pon.Bike" bicycle factory in the Kėdainiai Free Economic Zone (LEZ), continuing construction of a business center on Sporto Street in Vilnius, and completing the installation of the House of Polish Culture in Vilnius. The company continues the construction of the Sky Office business center in the capital. In Kaunas, near the Nemunas island and the city center company is developing a new modern living area "Matau Kaunas" and continuing “Piliamiestis” urban project on the right bank on river Neris. In In Vilnius company build “New Skansen" living area and finishing "Matau Vilnių" project. In the infrastructure business, the company has already formed more than two-thirds of this year's basket.
