Sustainable urban and infrastructure development company YIT Lietuva has signed a contract with one of the largest construction and finishing materials trading companies in Lithuania – UAB Lemora – for the construction of a new warehousing building in Kaunas. The building with an area of more than 15 thousand sq. m will be erected on Taikos Avenue, and its total value reaches approximately 16 million euros.
A modern logistics solution in a strategically convenient location
The new facility will be built at Taikos Ave. 116 O, Kaunas, and will belong to the category of industrial and warehousing buildings. Aiming for the highest energy efficiency indicators, the project will comply with the A++ energy efficiency class.
“The development of logistics infrastructure is one of the most important factors for growing companies. We are pleased to contribute to the strengthening of the Lemora logistics chain and at the same time create a high-value-added project in Kaunas, a city we know well,” says Kęstutis Vanagas, CEO of YIT Lietuva.
Functional layout and convenience for employees
The structure of the building will consist of two main functional areas – administrative and warehousing. The administrative part will be two-storey, with 65 workplaces, a visitor reception, offices, meeting rooms and other necessary infrastructure. Engineering and technical premises will be installed nearby.
The main and largest part will consist of warehousing premises, it is planned that about 30 employees will work here. Goods loading and unloading areas will also be installed, a part adapted for the passage of trucks, and a mezzanine with a separate entrance from the outside – a small goods storage area and premises for employees.
The territory is planned to provide 132 parking spaces, of which 6 spaces will be reserved for disabled people and 20 spaces for electric cars.
“This project is strategically important for us – it will allow us to manage supply processes even more efficiently and increase logistics capabilities. Partnership with YIT Lietuva gives us confidence – it is a professional and reliable contractor, whose portfolio of completed works includes more than one successfully implemented industrial facility,” says Žydrūnas Klivečka, General Director of UAB Lemora.
Currently, construction work has already begun, and the project is scheduled for completion in September 2026. The building was designed by UAB SIMPER, and the architect is Vytautas Juškaitis.
