"YIT Lietuva" is starting to build one of the most modern projects in the Baltic States in Riga
YIT Lietuva, a sustainable urban development and construction company, is undertaking a major renovation project for a building in Vilnius' Old Town. The building on Aguonų Street, where the state-owned company Energijos Skirstymo Operatorius (ESO) was previously located, will be adapted to the needs of the school community.
The building will be equipped with classrooms, multifunctional spaces for collaboration and interactive activities, a modern science and technology laboratory, a gym, a swimming pool, a canteen and other facilities using state-of-the-art educational, ergonomic and technical solutions. The school will also have a spacious patio. The reconstruction of the building is planned to be completed by the beginning of the next school year.
“High-quality and advanced education requires modern infrastructure that meets the needs of school communities and meets modern standards. The Erudito Lyceum premises project is a great example of how such infrastructure can be created through the targeted use and conversion of existing buildings. We are happy to contribute to this process with our competencies, many years of experience and the most advanced construction practices applied, ”says Kęstutis Vanagas, CEO of YIT Lietuva.
Founder of the Erudite Lyceum doc. dr. Nerijus Pačėsa says that the acquisition of own premises was a very important step in the development of the school, therefore a lot of attention was paid to the project that meets the needs of the school and its implementation. We chose one of the best Lithuanian architects G. Natkevičius to design it, and YIT Lietuva, one of the strongest and most reliable contractors in the country, to install the building. Doc. dr. According to N. Pačėsa, in the new premises, the lyceum will have even better conditions to nurture its vision of education and apply the most advanced methods and principles of education.
“The educational process in our school is focused on cooperation, community, team and project work. This will be reflected in our new premises, which focus on communal spaces for various purposes and enabling the integration of different things. We look to the future of education, where the boundaries between individual disciplines and classes will increasingly disappear, with a focus on flexibility, creative access and interaction, and learning through practice. This is the vision of education that will be reflected and adapted to our new premises, ”says Assoc. dr. N. Pačėsa.
Welfare specialists and project managers - Orion Wealth - take care of the project financing, structure and its implementation.
“We are glad that together with our partners we have the opportunity to contribute to the improvement of Lithuania's education infrastructure. Recently, we have noticed a growing need for investors to focus their resources on projects that not only bring financial returns but also contribute to the development of the well-being of others. We fully understand the significance of this project for both the school community and the residents of Vilnius. Accordingly, we make every effort to ensure that deadlines are strictly adhered to and that the school opens its doors on time and that the new facilities exceed the expectations of students and their families. It is for these reasons that we have chosen YIT Lietuva as the responsible general contractor. Their professionalism, existing competence and many years of experience will ensure the smooth implementation of this socially responsible project, ”says Karolis Ražukas, Project Manager of Orion Wealth.
