The project Matau Kauną was developed especially for the community that wants to discover its city in all kinds of ways: through culture, urban living, history, nature, freedom, repose, or action. Matau Kauną is a combination of urban happenings where a gentle cosiness and active dynamics, sentimental traditions and modern classics synergistically interact. This is the area where daily rules are dictated by people who are free to experience, feel, see, and build a true city every day.

“The main goal of this project was to create a concept of a lively, community-oriented neighbourhood that is integrated with the environment and concentrated on the quality of human life. In view of this, the project was developed by a special team of architects and urban planners. We placed much emphasis on making the inhabitants feel both in  the city centre and surrounded by nature. All the buildings are positioned towards public spaces, garden squares, or parks. We also aimed for a view of either the forest or the Kaunas City to open through the windows. Besides, each residential quarter is designed by different teams of architects to make sure that the harmony of different features, styles, and designs contributes to the vitality and achievement of this common idea.”
