"YIT LIETUVA" HAS SELECTED THE ARCHITECTURAL IDEA FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW APARTMENTS ON J. BASANAVIČIAUS STREET, VILNIUS.

A total of three ideas were submitted to the architectural design competition announced by "YIT Lietuva". The competition was won by architectural studio "Architektūros linija". A contract for design work has been signed with the architecture studio that won the competition, and the development of the project continues.

The "Architektūros linija" team combined the project idea with the historical and urban contexts of Vilnius New Town. In this place, in the central part of the capital, the new block of flats will be distinguished by its volumes and facade composition. The project will be modern in urban execution, architectural resolution and technological solutions.

"The distant and immediate surroundings of the new city have a clearly defined character. While preparing the idea, we interpreted it in our own, modern way, we evaluated the urban construction in the neighborhood, the different heights of the buildings. We also thought about cozy courtyard spaces, green areas. While creating volume plastic, silhouettes and architectural expression, drawing details of buildings, shaping the entire environment of the block, we searched for the appropriate scale of solutions, characteristic treatment of forms, proportions, colors. We are glad that the evaluators of the competitive idea noticed this, understood and read the message we sent", says prof. G. Čaikauskas.

Construction is planned to start in the second half of the 2024.
